For more than a decade, the MU Partnership for Educational Renewal (MPER) has been supporting school mental health in Missouri through the Mental Health Leadership Academy, aimed at building capacity among school mental health professionals, school leaders, school personnel, and other stakeholders. The goal of this academy is to provide tools for school leaders to be more effective in addressing mental health issues impacting achievement.
Two sessions are held each year with topics focusing on both student and faculty mental health issues.
